Address Point Manager™
Web Based Data Maintenance Tool
Address Point Manager™ is a customized tool developed to help users maintain a single authoritative corporate address point database in an easy to use GIS interface. Address Point Manager™ can be deployed as a modular add-on to iQuestor™, or as a standalone application; with both deployment options being accessed through standard web-browser technology. Address Point Manager™ allows users to add an address point to the database using the map interface, and also provides the ability to add and manage the tabular information associated to that point (e.g. municipal address, and roll number).
Benefits of using Address Point Manager™ include:
• Enables you to maintain records of all changes to your address database historical reference.
• You are no longer dependant on other agencies, such as MPAC or Teranet, to identify the location of an address on a map.
• Accurately positioned and maintained address points provide valuable support to emergency services response teams and other municipal staff who must locate addresses and properties quickly.
• Users have the ability to identify and locate a property on a map in the timeliest fashion to meet business needs.
• Address Point Manager™ provides a standard method for maintaining a single, unique identifier that enables you link your business information, such as zoning amendment and permits application information to a geographic location.
• Address Point Manager™ is a web-based application and does not require the installation of hardware or additional costly licenses required to provide staff access from their desktop computers.
• Security measures can be customized to ensure only authorized staff have edit permissions for the corporate address point database.
Functionality & Capability of Address Point Manager™:
• Add, move, or delete an address point.
• Spatially position address points using foundational GIS data such as orthographic photography, parcel fabric, and single line road network.
• Attach attribute information such as municipal address and roll number as soon as the address is generated; no need to wait for MPAC.
• Send automated email notifications of new addresses to other departments and external agencies, such as 911, Police, Fire, Bell Canada, Canada Post, and other utilities.
